but there is also:
Crazy by Simple Plan (about how the world has gone crazy and has a few lines about poverty)
Knockin on heavens door originaly by Bob dylan but also preformed by Avril Lavinge and guns'n'roses (i am not shure about guns and roses)

and alot U2 songs (there r to many to list) r very politcal but my favirote is One (its sort of old) and in the clip for the song The Saints are Coming (preformed with green day) they have shots of New Orleans and what happend after hurricane Katrina)

"Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" by The Four Lads, made in 1953.

Or, there was a faster sounding remake done by They Might Be Giants in 1990.

The song is about when they changed the name of Constantinople (Turkey) to Istanbul around I think 1450? You can look up when they actually changed the name, but, still, you get the idea.
