I have about 22 undisclosed fractures on my skull(entire head) given by my ex husband from 5 years worth of domestic violence. If I take another blow to the head in a certain way, it could kill me. That sux huh?

Not an abusive relationship but an abusive childhood, it effected me terribly, my father was a psychopath who controlled our life's, I wish my mom had got out, but it was so different in those days, thankfully I have a great husband who helped me get over what had happened to me, but sadly not everyone has that luck do they, I feel so sorry for people who fear for their life's and are too afraid to walk away from abuse, anger management and court orders aren't always the best form of protection for these people, something really needs to be done to help them big time.

Yes, and I learned never to get into one again. I also learned that I was a LOT stronger than I thought, and not always to be taken in by "words of love" - actions are more important in judging another person's worth.
I'd much rather live alone than with someone who sucked the life force out of me..................

Yes.
It makes me angry, and kinder to others, and to myself.
It makes it harder (but not impossible!) for me to trust others.
