I meant newbie to role playing. So something that would be good for a beginner.

The one online game I've been playing for two years and I love is World of Warcraft!!!! This is my first MMORPG game ever and I couldn't be happier. I loved it so much that I got my husband to play and we both have been playing it ever since. You should check it out. You do have to pay a monthly fee of 14.99 but there is a visitors pass with the purchase of this game you can use first just to see how you like it before you commit to paying monthly. Just make sure you pc meets the game's system requirements before purchases. Cable or DSL is highly recommend for smooth game play, there are 9 million people playing this game online!!! Making sure you pc is up to snuff is the best way to fully enjoy this game. I can't really express how much fun this game is. I hope you pick it up and enjoy it. Happy Gaming!!!!

Personally My first role playing game was "star wars: knights of the old republic" which has a very nice game play. if you want a true role playing game, you can try elder scroll series (the last one was Oblivion which is totally great). for some action RPG, you can try neverwinter nights 1 & 2 or Dunguen seige 1 & 2.
these are the best games. if you are new, you should try the best.

World of Warcraft or if you wana play for free try runescape
Animal Crossing is fun since you get to customize your own house and make it bigger.... with a large fee to it but still fun

I play a texted base game. If you are into mafia type stuff. Also my children play World of Warcraft. Both are fun games to play. If you want more info email me.

a good mmorpg would be City of Heroes/Villains. You buy it then you would only have to pay 14-15 dollars a month. they are very good games. I like heroes more so i would recommend that one more.

When I got into RPG's I started on Legend of Legaia. My favorite is Star Ocean for playstation one.

Animal Crossing is a really good, fun game.
It was the first RPG I played, and I found it easy enough, yet entertaining. :)
