So long as you enjoy it, and keep learning more about how to apply it for best effect then why not ? Look at it this way...If you learn now, by the time youre out at work you'll be almost expert... and hey, there's a good living to be made from cosmetics !
Have fun.

No way! Don't listen to anyone who's telling you that you'll be a parent by 16, they're obviously just ignorant. I'm 13 and I wear make up, lip gloss, foundation, concealer, eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow. If you wear it discreetly it won't make you look slutty. As you're only 12 just wear some lip-gloss, maybe eyeliner (a little!) and eyeshadow if you want to. It's never bad to wear make up, it's no sin! lol I've been wearing make up since I was about 10 and trust me I'm no ****. Just start gradually if you've neva worn it b4. Dn't start with loads of foundation, it'll luk bad anyway. Buy some teen mags, get some ideas. I wouldn't start wearing foundation or anything too heavy until you're a little older though.

You are far too young to wear make-up.
Your skin will deteriorate and by the time you're in you early 20's (and I know that seems a life-time away but it isn't!) you won't be able to go anywhere without slapping some on-and in ever increasing quantities.
If you really want to apply something to your face then do your skin a favour and use a moisturiser-and as regards lipstick use a lip salve instead.
As you head into your teens the chances of spots etc are only increased by you smothering all your pores with foundation.
Take a tip from an ancient over 30yr old-bin the slap until you're old enough to go somewhere to warrant it.
And that doesn't mean the school disco!

I wore tinted moisuriser at that age, as I had really bad skin and was really self concious about it. But if we're talking the full works here, mascara, foundation, lipstick, then yeah you are a little young. Leave it for a couple of years then get someone to show you how toapply it properly, one of the worst things is when young girls wear badly applied make up.

It's not bad, but you're beautiful enough without it and it's a shame to leave childhood behind so soon. Once you're grown up you can't go back and you may find you miss it sometimes.
If you're going to wear make-up use it sparingly to enhance, not hide, your features and don't use foundation or anything else that won't allow your skin to 'breathe' or you'll find you have to wear it all the time to cover your bad skin. However much you do chose to wear, you need to cleanse your skin completely every day to remove all traces of make-up and grease so you don't get blocked pores which lead to zits! Cleanse, tone and moisturize every night and you'll be fine.

No - though try not to wear it everyday, instead wear it to parties and occasions. Play around with it at home in front of the tv so you learn, and dont wear foundation and powder and loads of eye make up. Keep it simple.
Just have fun experimenting, but dont feel you need to wear it every day.

No, it isn't bad but it isn't very healthy for your skin. just make sure you wear the minimum of makeup make up. so i guess mascara and lip gloss should do. and if ur going out somewhere and need to wear a lot to look good or cool then make sure you cleanse you face with a cleanser or wipes if your feeling lazy. and if u end up with a lot more problems on your face than when u didn't wear make up, well that's what u shud expect. its what comes with makeup unfortunately. i wear makeup myself and can't live without it. it makes me feel confident and attractive and it probably does the same for u so i am not gonna tell u not to wear it. just make sure u don''t cake it on your skin. and make sure u cleanse your skin well afterwards. good luck! and be happy with your self! :) xxx

Its bad for your skin, and can make it worse for when your older.
But at my school there are 11/12 yr. olds wearing make-up. At the end of the day if your happy with it and its what you want to do to make your self feel better then go for it no one can have no problems with that.

too young. you'll probably look like 16 when you're 13. wait till you're 14. i started wearing make up when i was 14. now im 16 people thought im 20. and you're going to damage your skin. you will start puberty soon. if you start wearing makeup now you're going to get a pimple outbreak.no makeup can cover pimples perfectly.so you wanna be pretty now and ugly later? or continue to be a kid now and be beautiful grown up next time?

It's not too young but one thing i wouldn't suggest is putting too much on and caking it on all someone your age needs is some subtley tinted lipgloss and a pale eyeshadow maybe a little blusher thats all i think you should be going for, for now when you get older you can begin to get a little adventureous with make-up

I'm sorry but I think you are much too young. Make the most of being a kid, you have no need to glam it up just yet there will be plenty of time for that later.
