juz check out on the ineternet especially by the means of google search engine.......
its very useful there. u can find tons of projects there... i say its very useful and even one of my teachers selected a project from google only.

if u wanna make any science project in your home then u need to have a lot of things which may cost around Rs.5000.....i am an electronics student so i know the things......there are a lot of things so u have to search the shop where you buy all those things...
it is always better to do the project with the help of your home electrician he'll surely help you very much.....
there is even 1 more way you can that is visit panjagutta's archie's gallery shop there you can find a book on electronics showing all the projects and how do u make it.Everything will be mentioned in that but if you don't get it there then that's a big problem....

there is lot my friend by finding energy sources like solar energy, heat energy., you can do simple projects by solar energy.
