I had one a couple of years ago and it went away by me drinking water all day. Well, I have one again and my mom says I should go to the doctor. Should I?

Yes, go see your doctor, s/he will want a urine sample off of you - After testing this, they can find out which infection you have specifically - Your GP will then probably prescribe you a course of antibiotics to kill the bad bacteria. While taking antibiotics it is important that you never miss a dose and that you always eat live bio yoghurt to ensure you replace the good bacteria (Which antibiotics unfortubately also exterminate).

Best wishes!

You can treat a bladder infection by drinking lots of water and cranberry juice. However, a bladder infection, if not promptly treated, can travel to the kidneys and become serious enough to case kidney failure. Take a few hours, go to the doctor and get the antibiotics.

yes please, go to the doc. once u have a bladder infection you are prone to getting them more often in the future, and u should not just try to deal with them on your own. go to the family doc. they'll test the urine and give you 3 days worth or so of antibiotics. its my experience to feel 10 times better just from one day of taking the meds. you'll help yourself out so much by going asap.
