Who are the role models for young black kids, rappers.
Now I'm not saying the rappers themselves are directly responsible but the image they portray is one of violent, sexist, uneducated drug users.
If this is the kind of lifestyle their constantly being told is the way to behave and they see very few positive alternatives then they think this is the only way to act and be credible amongst their peers.
Although this attitude is creeping into the white kids as well they don't have such a strong 'identity' with the rappers as the vast majority are black, however I expect in time white areas will also become more violent and self-destructive.

Unfortunately gangs have been around along time, and so have the victims(they are just getting younger). The areas that they seem to be associated with are like the ghetto and these gangs run them. The different gangs are of all colours and their lifestyles are a knock on effect from poor parenting(if they have any) and lack of education.
Stopping this will prove difficult as we'll always have people that believe being nice, working hard and caring for your family a tad hard!!!!

These are murders of opportunity and have nothing to do with race. In America we are use to this---it happens every day. Our schools are battle zones In Houston we have a police force that is dedicated to nothing but the Houston Independent School District---all of the officers are certified police officers and carry handguns.
Violence in schools has become cultural due to violence in the media---television, movies, videos and especially the news. the only way to stop the violence is to control the media, but like in the UK the American media is protected against censorship by law. Here, free speech and free press is seen as a right to corrupt society and this right is protected by the federal courts. Thus, the only REAL solution is Jesus Christ. I am not preaching religion, I am preaching salvation and a return to correct moral principles that can save Western Civilization from total destruction. Islamic terrorists are not our enemies, our enemies are ourselves and our beliefs that there is nothing that we can do to stem the tide of violence among our youth. Getting at kids in their early years can make a difference, and that is what the ministry that i belong to does---the Children's Activity Center, teaching kids about Jesus and that there is an alternative to the violence, drugs, alcohol and bondage of the devil.

Black on Black, White on White, Person on Person. It does not matter the color of the skin of whom was the shooter, and who was the victim. What matters is that it has happened. Another senseless victim. I think the term Black on Black can often desensitise a situation, which being that it is 2007, is pitiful.

purely to make sparkling: my personal position is that it truly is a double known and it truly is bigoted, unjust, and unequal, yet that it may well be more beneficial unjust to compromise human beings's precise to actual integrity or to have the authorities intruding into deepest medical and kinfolk planning judgements. i'd respect feminist much more beneficial of they'd well known that usually organic and organic reality DOES trump concepts of equality. i'm professional-decision yet i don't love for someone to piss on my shoes and tell me it is raining. the recent distribution of rights and time-honored jobs between adult males and women IS unequal and it truly is stupid to disclaim this. yet equality isn't the in trouble-free words theory at situation.

The real questions are where did they get the weapons and why did they feel the need to use them?
It's funny though that young black men whine about lack of respect shown to them then they go and do things like that. I don't care if that's deemed racist, it's just my opinion.

It is 'black on black' crime, I live in a predominantly white area & I don't see white kids going round shooting each other like this.
I don't know why so many black kids feel this kind of behaviour is acceptable? when it certainly is not.
