I'm a landscape architect and seen some really cool artificial turf samples come into the office. They may be great for a rooftop deck area, but I have an awful image in my head about using it for the front lawn: what happens when the neighborhood dogs take a dump on the grass...does it just sit there until it turns to white pulp?
It may be low-maintenance, but thats just plain N-A-S-T-Y!

Do you mean to replace an existing area with plastic grass? What about the worms and insects and the birds. Not a very green idea!

What sort of question is that? Do you want to know what it is? What you do with it? or what?
Its also known as astro turf.
Some silly people use it to replace the beautiful green stuff in their garden. Being honest I would only use it to cover a drain cover in the garden but even then I think I'd come up with a more eye pleasing effect than that

Great idea.
Green lawn all year round and saves lots of money & time in weeding,mowing & watering.
Very expensive though,Our neighbour has it.
It's so green people actally stop to check it out.
Some people even ring the council because they think he waters it during water restrictions

Easy to clean if you have dogs that puke and poo and eay to maintain.
