That's great! My host family live in Fukuoka and I have just came back from there. I can tell you more about Fukuoka. My friend live in Nagasaki, I only passed by Nagasaki.
In Fukuoka, you got to check out the Tenjin City and Hakkarta. Hakkarta is a shopping mall which link to a hotel. I went there with my friends. It was so cool at there. And my vehicle travelling from Tenjin City to Hakarta was bullet train. It would be awesome if you go there by bullet train. You can also check out the Fukuoka Tower(the tallest seaside tower in Japan) and the Fukuoka Dome. The Fukuoka Dome(baseball field) is just few distance away from the Fukuoka Tower and you can see both of these buildings along the highway. It look gorgeous. Famous musicians such as Madonna, Rolling Stones, Eagles, and Billy Joel have done large-scale concerts at the Fukuoka Dome.

In Nagasaki you can go to Nagasaki Peace Park which established in 1955 near the hypocentre of the Atomic Bomb explosion. At the park's north end is the 10-metre-tall Peace Statue created by sculptor Seibou Kitamura of Nagasaki Prefecture. The Atomic Bomb Hypocenter just located near this Peace Park.

In Hiroshima you visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. It is dedicated to the legacy of Hiroshima as the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack. There are a variety of monuments and buildings in the park, each dedicated to a different aspect of the bombing. Every year on 6 August "A-bomb Day", the City of Hiroshima holds the Peace Memorial Ceremony to console the victims of the atomic bombs and to pray for the realization of lasting world peace. The ceremony is held in front of the Memorial Cenotaph in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park with many citizens including the families of the deceased and the people from all over the world. In Hiroshima you can also visit the Japanese garden, and Shukkei-en is a historic Japanese garden in the city of Hiroshima.

Enjoy your cool journey. ^^

In Hiroshima, the Peace Museum is a must; the city also has a lovely traditional garden. And just 20 minutes away from Hiroshima by train is the island of Miyajima; absolutely worth a day trip.

Fukuoka is a wonderful place. Check out the Nakasu district. Nakasu is famous for its street vendor stands (Yatai), and also its seedy nightlife. Around 6pm, all the vendors are out along the river, there are all kinds from ramen to yakitori, even cocktails.
