Anything that you have on your background will show, it depends on who is doing the background check and for what reason, if it is something that can prevent you from a job it depends on what it is, if it is for a DUI they can't use them against you if they are 5 years apart but they can use it as habitual and have harsher sentence. if it is just tickets don't worry.

It depends, they do whatever your State Police have on file and the law allows them to divulge. Most crimes that are not violent are not reported after 7 years, but things like murder would always be.

The rule of thumb is that states do not report as positive a check where a misdemeanor or felony is involved after 7 years, though that is not always the case!

In Florida, there is a particular procedure for expunging or sealing arrests or crimes from a criminal history record. Otherwise, each Clerk of Court may have a system for record-keeping. Therefore, unless the procedure is utilized, it is feasible that an item may be retained on a record even though there may not be clerk records. Many of these records are public information, and many private companies may disclaim the information that they provide.

Depends on the crime... a felony will show up forever. Misdemeanors are usually dropped after 10 years unless the state is really good at reporting it's records. Most of them clean off automatically just to get more room on the system.
