When someone provides a source in answer to your question, which do you prefer and why?

Do you prefer them 1) copying and pasting the whole (or a big chunk of the article) as their answer, 2) the link with a brief description, or 3) just the link?

I am thinking of an URL as a source - if the info isn't online it's a different story..........

Heh - well usually people don't need links for P&S vaguely smutty silly innuendo answers NotPoodle .............. which is absolutely fine........... :D

I prefer a link. I HATE it when they just cut and paste a whole chunk of Wikipedia particularly when they don't credit Wikipedia (or wherever) as their source.

I only give the odd link in my answers. I hate the ones who just give a link. I make my answers up ;)

Just the link-short & cuts to the chase,
if they were to cpy & pste,i wouldnt read it, probably because
it'll be a big chunk of text,randomly copied & got pasted.

Just the link otherwise I can't be bothered to read all the answer! With the link you can read at your leisure and bookmark if you want to return...

I THINK you meant in P&S we aren't looking for a whole long wikipedia answer, but just someones witty response, or persoal experience or opinion. It drives me crazy when it's rambling 20 lines long of stuff you could have just as easily googled yourself.....
