Not all married women have affairs but I would say it is for the same reason men do, they have a need that is not being fulfilled by their spouse and they seek it somewhere else.
Itis wrong wether it is the man or the women who has an affair.

There are many reasons. Some are still looking for happiness and that house with the white picket fence marriage they dream about. Others do it because they married to young and never experienced another man, Others do it simply because they aren't being satisfied by their husbands. Others are doing it because they are in search of something better or different. Some do it as a way of getting back at their husbands even though they keep it a secret from the husband.
Last and not least. Some do it simply because they are caught up in the moment with some guy they have met, and he's making advances on them and they either don't know how to say stop or no i can't do this i'm married.

Same reason men do: lack of integrity. A person with integrity would never have an affair and then say something like "I wasn't getting what I wanted at home, but I didn't want to leave the marriage, so I had an affair".
A person with integrity would leave a marriage if it wasn't working and they wanted to be with other people because a person with integrity wouldn't be married if they didn't take the marriage seriously.
So it really comes down to character. And you can whine, make excuses, etc... but when your words, actions and emotions aren't integrated, you have no integrity. Nobody has an affiar without a great deal of deception being involved (and I don't care if they are only lying to themselves). Think about it.
It's amazing how many people miss the character issue. Here's this person pretending to have a marriage (commitment) who is disregarding the principles of marriage, and yet they pretend to be commited in that marriage for the world and perhaps their spouse and kids.
But they aren't that--they are a fraud.
It's a character flaw. And that's why I am harping on about it: you better make sure whoever you marry has a lot of integrity and values integrity.
And I'm not saying it ONLY takes integrity to make a relationship work. But without integrity as a key element in your life, you introduce all sorts of congnitive dissonance and conflict into your life. "Be yourself" is simple, and yet it is very profound.

Hi,
Every one in this world have wishes and desires if they are not fulfilled they look for the alternate . The same principle applies on woman(Married or Un married) also if they are not satisfied with married life with husband they look for alternate and have affairs with some one who seems to be full filling her desires.

Various reasons, they are lonely, treated badly, married the man for the wrong reason and did not find out until they were married for some time. Needs and enjoys multiple partners. This is a question with as many answers as there are human situations.

Maybe for the same reason that married men have them.
They all must be lacking something at home, feeling unappreciated, unloved, controlled etc.
And the excitement could be gone. And of course what ever the reason, it is morally wrong.

1) because they are unhappy
2) because their husband is crap in bed
3) because they feel like a servant not a wife
4) because their husband has affairs
5) because their husband throws tantrums at the drop of a hat
6) because they work all the hours God sends and their husband does not do anything round the house so the wife ends up with 2 full time jobs
7) because the husband spends most of his time outside the house and thinks he is doing the wife a favour just by being their occasionally
8) because when she needs someone to turn to in times of crisis (like when a parent dies) he cannot understand why his dinner is not on the table and why she is in tears and is a useless lump and certainly not a shoulder to cry on
Do you need any more reasons?
