Something unique or from the heart. An original gift that she'll remember forever. It dosent have to be expensive. Dont make it typical. Something creative. Could be as simple as a note, a drawing, not a typical gift. Flowers are good too but make it a little different than what shes probably used to. Maybe give one rose instead of a bunch. A note with it. If its something she dosent expect its even better.

just you and her having a moment together sitting together on the couch holding hands, sharing a drink, your silence does the talking for you and sneaking in a few kisses here and there. Perhaps a little music in the background if you wish.
What I am saying is give her you, like in turn off the mobile and all of that. Tell the kids (if you have any) that you want a few minutes along with mom.

I suggest you purchase the accompanying items for the perfume of her choice...body lotion, soap, powder, etc. Women often buy their own perfume, but it is a luxury to have the body lotion in the same scent. You can't go wrong there...

Something more personal... like a getaway or a whole day which you plan to do together that involve the things she likes (art galleries, theatre, movies, pinic, hiking, skiing, etc)
