I have just found out that my Fiancé's mum has tried setting him up with someone else! we have been living together for 7 years now and engaged for nearly a year so its not as if she didn't realise it was serious between us.

I have mentioned it to my fella, but he doesn't understand why i'm so pissed off as far as he's concerned it's not an issue because at the end of the day its got nothing to do with her - i see his point, but, if it was my mum trying to set me up, i would tell my mum to shut up and keep out!

apart from being seriously P****** off, yeah, she sounds like a right interfering busy body, you want to make clear you are not happy with this choice your mother inlaw made for him one little bit, I always find by reversing the situation and see how I would feel or other way round sometimes or most times helps me come to a rational descision.

Go easy and Good luck as its never easy coming between a son or daughter and thier mothers. I KNOW.....

She actually had NO right to do that,if she already knew that her sons in a relationship, that is totally out of line,
Talk to your fiance,i think its time their was a mother-son
talk about this, your fiance should make it very clear to her,
what she can do,an cant.

I would be furious, but I would not approach her. I would not let her know it bothers me. Instead, I would speak to my fiance, and get him to straighten her out. Unless she feels her son is serious and happy in his relationship, then this behaviour will continue. She'll never listen to you...in fact, anything you say or do will only fuel the fire. This is one for your fiance to sort out. Good luck!

hmmm, not nice! I would be upset to, but in a reflective sort of way. I would be wondering what made her do that, perhaps she feels that you are not right for her boy. I would swap her for another Fiance's mum. Get one you like and who likes you.

yes i would be very annoyed. I think you should tell your future mother in-law to stop interfering and you should discuss the matter with your Fiance

That's out of order! That is really disrespectful to you and your fiance. Your fiance needs to speak with her about it, as clearly she doesn't think you two are serious!

I would be very annoyed. It does'nt bode well for your relationship with her after you marry her son. She may well have shot herself in the foot. I hope he is annoyed with her also
