The Golden Age was a period in history (dates vary depending on region) when artwork flourished. I'm Irish and the Golden Age here was from the early Christian period up until the Viking period. During this time many beautiful manuscripts and chalices were produced. There was a similar movement in Europe around the same time. High crosses are also included.
