Whats the fastest processor I can use with . . .?

my ASUS A8AE-LE motherboard. Will any socket 939 processor work on it?

That board supports AMD Athlon64, AMD Sempron and Athlon 64 X2 socket 939 processors with bus speeds of 2000MT/s or 1600MT/s. So, as long as its the right processor with the right bus speed then just find the fastest one you want.

So yeah any socket 939 Athlon CPU would work, not sure about Operaton though I havent used AMD for a while, my last AMD computer was an Athlon 64, after that i bought 2 Intel Core 2 Duo laptops. Id recommend a dual core cpu aka Athlon 64 X2 Socket 939 like this one, try not to go for single core if you can
