How do you get your web company on the first page of search results?

Just started a new internet business which we have set up ourselves and need advice on promoting the site onto the first pages of the search engine

1. Pay for Adwords. ie you choose key words that are relevant to your business and you pay Google to be listed under paying ads when those words come up. The more you pay, the higher up you are.

2, Promote your site and creep up the listings gradually. To get a high Page Rank (a good indicator as to how high your site will get) you need lots of one-way links from other high-ranking sites. That it a site links to you, but you not to them. This discourages reciprocated links where people just help each other out. Also, avoid websites that promise to link to you (link-farms) as you will be penalised from Google for this. You should also have relevant and updated content.

Download Google Toolbar and you can show page-rank - the the higher the rank, the higher you will come in the listings.

Google also has what is called a 'sand-box'. This seems to stop websites being listed highly for the first few months to wheedle out the websites that have no shelf life - its often just a waiting game.

There are lots of websites offering advice on search engine optimisation. Also different search engines rank their pages using different criteria. Each search engine will have a section of advice on how to move up the rankings for that particular search engine. For example, Google uses spiders to crawl sites and look at keywords and link popularity. Yahoo is a directory that pages get added to by subject. Starting Googling and do lots of reading!

It's not easy way to do. But i give some solution to solve this question, hope it's work.
1. Register your web to some search engine like google, askjeeves, etc more.
2. Put 1 or more link in your web with other web with good rating at search engine (it's name Link Excange)
3. Daily update your web with new information2 or anything
4. Edit your homepage file and writein more keyword at header (meta description="bla...bla..bla..")
5. Fill in any word at header at contents from homepage.
