I have exactly the same problems! you could go on the pill but i actually put on a lot of weight on that!! (everyone is different tho) or you could ask your doc for medication like i have the makes the flow of your period lighter, which means less pain, and you can ask him for pill to take with that which are for making it less painful, i am using these and they are great!! i sued to throw up, rolling around on the floor like i was dying, now im fine!! just ask your doc!! for something for the pain and flow!! (dont let him/her give you Ibuprofen, although these do work, your better off with a pill that is specifically for periods pain) dont use feminax they are RUBBISH!!

Within 5 years you periods should of sorted themselves out on a regular basis.

I suggest you making a GP appt ASAP. I was put on the combination pill after having ovarian cyst, to level my hormone levels. This eased the pain, and my periods started coming on a regular basis.

1. Try taking Feminex available from your local chemist, boots, superdrugs etc. I have extremely painful periods and they are very strong but work a treat.
2. Try a hot water bottle, placed in a hot water bottle holder, or wrapped in a towel, can also help ease the pain and tension.
3. Towels are fine for you to use, if tampons are too painful. To make it more comfortable, make sure you are changing it on a regular basis, and get ones with 'wings' which hold it safely in place.
4. Try having a nice bubbly hot water bath which for some stops the bleeding (whilst your in the bath) and the heat soothes the pain.

Hope that helps, also speak to your mum, aunts, older sisters or guardians, about things that help them.... and remember to make that doctors appointment! x

I recommend seeing a doctor as soon as you can if you are in a lot of pain. Try using heat (such as a hot water bottle) on your stomach. Gentle exercise might help too. Prescription tablets are available from your doctor or pharmacist to help lighten your periods. You can also get period pain tablets over the counter.
Hope this helps :)

I would go and see your doctor and tell him/her exactly what you have told us. Apart from that I suggest a warm (not hot) bath and then lie down with a hot water bottle never mind carrying on as normal. But i stresss i think you should see your doctor.

Ask your primary care dr to help you get in to a gynecologist if your insurance requires that you do this.

This needs to be evaluated by a gynecologist to rule out things such as endometriosis.

hi, sorry to read your suffering.
i would defiantly say you need to go and see you doctor to get all this sorted out, ask if they will get you an appointment with gynaecology as you could have some sort of problem such as poly cystic ovaries or endometriosis, but don't worry, go get checked out, please
