In ancient times, roads were made for pedestrians only. But, later ancient vehicles like carts on elephand, horse etc., entered and human beings are restricted. Later Motor Vehicles came and naturally, I am afraid to get into the road with or without vehicle, as even if we are careful, there are lot of vehicles which are not careful and hit on us, as if Insurance would not compensate. So get on the road, walk (in India) on the Right Hand Side, While crossing the road, first look to the right and when sure that there is no vehicle comes from right side, look to left and when there is no vehicle, then proceed. In Junctions use Zebra Cross and when hospitals, schools etc., are ahead, there would be boards on the RH side. Watch signals and proceed. Besides, there are a lot of traffic signals for stoping, for turning to right or left, not to cross, speed limit, etc., etc,. (which may be standing slanting or falled, but take care for the inability of the concerned departmental officer and be pity on him for his payday) which are all few information about road safety and traffic rules. (what do you mean -its a kinda of important and "You had be grateful"). Listen deeply to others, study well, pay effort in your studies as long as you are a student and your parents are alive)
