This is not a theory, it is plain fantasy - sorry. The stones of Stonehenge are just that. Some come from the immediate area. the largest from the Prescelli Mountains about 150 miles away in Wales. The wonder is not that they were dancing giants, but that our remote ancestors with little more than crude block and tackle and the sweat of their own brows moved them so far.

I have no idea about the dancing giants. Legends of Merlin and King Arthur should not be too hard to come by.If you need some factual history as well have a look at Druid history and pagan rituals - fertility rites and the like. It may have played a key role in pagan celebrations such as the summer and winter solstice. Besides both the Druids and Pagan's have a rich oral history so check out legends of the druids and ancient Britons.
