Ummm. How much is too much?
I think this very much depends on what you're watching and why. I mean, if you spent half your waking hours watching documentaries, the news, political debates, language tuition programmes, and so on, and so on, probably no-one would object all that much! People (especially people who are parents) tend to complain when what you're watching isn't so educational, and when it's possibly keeping you from doing other things.
Possible objections to 'too much' TV might include:
It stops you from spending time out in the fresh air, getting exercise, and so on; it's therefore not brilliant for your health.
Some TV programmes don't present a very accurate view of the world. If what you know of the world mostly comes from TV, obviously this could have a negative effect on your life. For instance, if you watched a lot of programmes where people were violent, you might possibly become desensitised to the idea of violence and think it was acceptable to behave in that way. (I'm not sure I believe this, but it's a popular theory.) Alternatively, you might become fearful about the world, believing it to be a violent place because of what you'd seen.
Because when you're watching TV you aren't interacting with other people all that much. OK, you might be - if you watch something and then have an in-depth conversation about what you've just seen, for instance. But generally, it's a pretty solitary pastime. This is why people disapprove of parents parking their kids in front of the TV for hours - because the kids don't learn to interact properly, and so they can lack language skills, interpersonal skills, and so on.
Because you're probably supposed to be doing something else. Homework. Housework. I don't just mean this for kids, either - I'm 30 and I quite often watch telly when I ought to be doing something else!
Having said all that, I think it's perfectly possibly to watch TV and yet lead a balanced and interesting life. I love TV; I also love books.
I don't think TV is as bad as it gets made out to be. But the above is probably what people are getting at when they talk about watching 'too much' TV. Hope this helps!

That....
or become lost in your lazy habbits and get hella fat. It would cause social dissorders. You won't go out as much (gotta watch the OC...sorry guys). It would be hard for you to sustain a job because you're picking up on your own lazy habbits....the list goes on.
Go outside and take a walk.
Read a book (Harry Potter is coming out this summer)
