Your new PC probably has onboard sound! Read the manual!

Sound cards on many old computers had sufficient power to drive the speakers. Modern PCs generally need powered speakers for on-board sound.

You can only use older graphics and sound cards if the motherboard has compatible sockets (some have changed) and you can find software drivers that work with the current Operating System

i would guess that all new mobos now will have onboard sound, so you may just need to install the drivers for it to run/work
