I think in these situations you should believe that no news is good news. If you have got to interview stage then most employers will give you feedback even if you are unsuccessful.

If you don't hear within the first few days it can be a good sign, in that you normally know straight away if you are going to turn someone down so you do it right away.

Did they give you any indication of when you would hear from them? If not, then after a week I would suggest giving them a call just to let them know that you are still interested and would appreciate some feedback from them.

If you feel you did really well then hopefully you'll have some good news soon. You normally know when you have done badly!

Good luck

I would wait 3 days and then call them on the phone. They will explain to you what they have done. I wouldn't write them off until I talked to them one more time.

Many interviewing employers don't bother to respond back to applicants in a timely manner (which I always have done). Just make a call.

5 a 7 days, but if you are really smart you should call after 3 days, but never on a Friday.... it shows you are motivated and very interested in the job. You can even mention that you have other proposals, but your preferences goes to them..... due to: "some keywords out of the job scope...."
