You've got it all wrong my friend.
The title must be awarded to New Zealand where there are 12 lovely, lovely sheep to every person.
If we assume that half the population are female, then are 24 sheep for every man to choose from. Almost one for each day of the month !

I think you mean new zealand, and it's because they apparently have more sheep than people.
or you could be jealous that australia has the best wool in the world :P
