We do have internal clocks. The problem with all the senses are their limitations. Eyes will only see in a very narrow band of radiation. Ears? The same. But yeah, some of the atoms in your body and mine and everything out there were forged in the big bang. Others (most, really) were created later in stars and supernovae. Yes, the stars took those early hydrogen and helium atoms created in the big bang, tore them apart, and created new, heavier elements. This pushed the array of elements up to iron. Supernovae were needed to create higher elements. I'm not saying anything you're not saying, dude. I'm just laying the emphasis somewhere else.
