Just a bit concerned here. I've only been bleeding a little bit the past few days (on schedual for my period according to my birth control). There's nothing on pads or when I wipe, just a little bit on tampons. I've had no cramps which is rare because normlly I suffer pretty bad. I normally have really, really heay periods so I'm just a bit concerned what's going on. Also the past few months, tampons have been really uncomfortable and almost painful.

"Also the past few months, tampons have been really uncomfortable and almost painful."

maybe you hurt yourself with one of the tampons...this area is pretty sensitive and you might've cause a little cut that bleeds a bit without you knowing.

just observe your next period, if it comes a month after you started bleeding lightly then it's your period i guess, if it comes a month after your regular period you had before this light bleeding then it probably wasn't your period but as i said a little wound.

also keep an eye for the usual physical feelings you get when your period comes, like the camps and the normal flow....because it could be a case where your periods are changing...i think it's normal...i used to suffer terrible pains years ago on my period, now i can make it thru without taking any pain killers because "they changed"

I don't know what's up with your period - I'm not a doctor and even so a doctor couldn't know without examining you - take a trip to see them if you're really concerned.

But I thought you should know that when you're bleeding as lightly as you describe you should stick to towels; removing tampons shouldn't hurt - if it does your absorbancy is too high (have you tried lights?) Anyway, removing dry tampons causes the mucas, which contains the good bacteria, from your vagina - increasing the risk of and even causing vaginal infections and etc...

take care and if things don't sort themselves out by your next period definately see your doctor.

Best wishes

Are you on any drugs or medication?
If you do, think its related to it.
Stress / mental problems is another consideration.
