I mean why is it that when ever an Australian does something wrong or rapes someone they never mention anything about their nationality. But when a Lebo does somthing no where near as bad they immediately say that they are LEBANESE!!! I mean i dont know anyone whos lebanese who is really that bad. i mean i admit there might be some lebos out there who are really bad and up themselve but we are not all like that! Its like everyone else in Australia is innocent and hasnt done anything wrong and the Lebanese are always to blame!!!

in crime reports they seem to always refer to the criminal as 'of middle eastern appearance' or 'pacific islander/aboriginal appearance', but you never hear them say'of anglo australian appearance', i don't know why they have to say that, as if it going to help solve a crime. it only helps to make people hold negative stereotypes about certain races. it sucks.... i am an anglo aussie and the only lebanese people i have met are fantastic, lovely people (and they make bloody good tucker too!). it is all scapegoating, it used to happen to the europeans who first came here (italians, greeks), then the asians, now it is the middle east.

I dont know if you are Lebanese or not..
But I am arab... I don't live in Sydney, where the majority of Lebanese live (i guess).. But i do live in Brisbane, and I can tell you that there is a huge identity crisis with the Lebanese here in Australia.. Especially the lebanese men.
It has become a real issue because it affects all Arabs and then it eventually affects Muslims, as they start associating different nationalities with the religion.
The thing is though, and this isn't my opinion only, this is the opinion of many lebanese people as well... is that Lebanese need to stop using their large numbers as an excuse to travel around.. and when I say that, I mean, as a way of, i guess, protection and also a way to threaten or intimidate people...
There have been many fights here at our local westfield shopping mall amongst not only Lebanese, but also other large community groups, like the Serbs, where the police have had to come in and arrest people... and I guess that is the problem with having too many of one community..
They start thinking that they are invincible and exempt from the law...
But then again... I am just generalising.. I'm know that many of the people in these groups are lovely...and am extremely happy that they at least have people to support them...

there was a gang that was saying they wanted to r*** a skippy
so that is how they got a bad name!!
I like Lebanese, but there are some violent gangs that need to be stopped.& also if they act like Aussies they won't get labeled will they,they would be labeled aussie gangs.
All rapist are bad no matter who they are, even the aussie ones I think they are creeps
Try not to get upset because most aussies know most of you are nice people

Prejudice is, as the name implies, the process of "pre-judging" something. It implies coming to a judgment on a subject before learning where the preponderance of evidence actually lies, or forming a judgment without direct experience. saying that Aussies are racist is a racist statement in and of itself. nice one.
