I your state it may be Home Buyers Warranty. In our state it's called Home Owners Warranty. You can set it up where the seller has to provide the warranty instead of you. I've had to use it twice when we had problems after buying homes in California. These homes are put together by crews who in reality slam everything together and half of what they do is very questionable. Quality is many times out the door. It's hurry up, hurry up and they do not care if something is right. That;s how they make money. I'm telling you the world today is designed for the seller and not the buyer and quality is something unheard of except in movies. It used to be just the other way around. I had one where the roof started sagging down and I called the insurance company and they said this happens all the time when one of the trusses are put in incorrectly. They had to take the problem truss down and replace it, then redo the roof tiles. These people are not looking out for your interest.

Your builder holds the warranty. It's a law that they carry it for one year. Check with them.

If you need any help regarding claims they need your Buildmark policy number which should be obtainable from your solicitor.
Sometimes they can help just using your address though.
Hope this helps.
