No, this isn't an easy question. War is never pretty. I hate war, absolutely hate it. Brave men and women have died for our country, and innocent people have suffered for it.
No matter which way we choose, it's wrong. If we sit on our thumbs, people die. If we do something about it, people die.
However, I've come to the conclusion that sometimes when a person wants peace, they have to fight for it. It doesn't really make sense, but it seems as though NOTHING makes sense when it comes to mankind.

World peace?wow! we can have a piece of the world but world peace? that's a bit too far. anyway, that's a good question. We cannot achieve world peace because of human nature. Our hearts are intrinsically evil. Who has to argue that we are not capable of doing good? of course we are capable, but somewhere down the line we wreck things up. We make things diffucult for each other. We thought we are civilized. And we thought that if the whole world be civilized there would be world peace. But we are not civilized. If we are really civilized then there would be no need for front doors, locks in the jewelry stores. There would be no need for contracts, promises will be enough.but even the so called civilized people do sign contracts with other civilized people. Because deep inside we know that somewhere down the line we would not be true to some of our promises. We could try and we really should try to be true always, but the fact of the matter is that somehow in all our honesty we falter. That's a sad fact. So we mess things up in the process. Somebody gets mad...and there goes world peace. Nevertheless, we should try to achieve it, even if it seems impossible. By the way I heard that Jesus Christ has a plan in achieving world peace. His plan is a heart transplant. Very revolutionary. I believe that's the only way. And according to him he is the only one who can give man a new heart simply by believing him and his plans. And in the end according to that plan a new kind of world would be in order...a peaceful one.

The trouble is, the dictators are not the only ones involved. There are the people who have to live under these dictators. Don't they have rights to be treated like human beings too? If you have a spot of cancer, does that spot have as much right to be there as the healthy tissue in the body? You eliminate it or your whole body is consumed. Terrorists and evil dictators are a cancer on the world. They are either eliminated or they consume. Cavorim, go to the history books. Why aren't we still under England's rule? Because we fought for our freedom. 4th of July---Independence Day!

What is world peace?I am a keen student of history and I cant find it ever having existed.A few years ago the British media annouced that the british army were for the first time in for 400years not at war somewhere in the world. At the time it was the height of the troubles in Northern Ireland?.Britain is only one country.I would suggest that war however much we dont like admitting it is just part of mans makeup and inevitable

World peace will never happen because man will never lay down its arms. It's not a matter of not fighting versus defending truths or the rights of freedom of mankind. It's not that simple. In some cases, we should not blow the trumpet because we can't be in the business of nation building. If our allies are threatened, or if our country is attacked, we have to fight and to defend those who call on us to do so. If we retreat inside our own borders, our credibility as an ally would be seriously questioned. We have natural bonds with other nations and they with us. We have mutual pacts and treaties. We have to keep those in order to survive in today's world. But again, we have to pick our fights and for the right reasons. If not, popular support will be lost again in the future. We have to ask ourselves is it worthy for the blood of our sons and daughters to be spilled in a foreign land? Is it for profit, political gain, or for the cause of freedom? Is it to gain favor from a dictatorship? What is their human rights record? How do they treat their own citizens? and What are the consequences?

As long as there is limited natural resources, disproportionate levels of wealth, and egotistical or corrupt government leaders in the world, there will be fighting.

such as the warnings from the military intel..About O'sama ...Bill did nothing ...and Now it has fallen on George's watch because as most do nothing demon-crats Bill sat on his a** ,,,Now who is paying ..we may not when all of our wars but our enemies know they have fought one bad a** country who takes no s**t .. winning is only part of it , if we do not win ..when we leave they will know that the Eagle has been all up on that a** ...demon-crats cover & decieve of hopes the problem goes away..they are the one's who have made it politically correct to refer to the United States as a "Democracy" that term came about as the sneaky crooks formed the demon-cratic party. The United States my friend is a Republic , not democracy ,
A democracy is when laws are passed by having town hall type meeting with all citizens equally casting a vote....without the "electorial college"
.A Republic is when the citizens elect someone from their area of residence through a system of voting to represent them and , cast votes on bills and laws on their behalf (to become one voice for the State that appointed that person to represent them)
Demon-crats want you to believe we are a democracy they want you to believe your voice matters so they can maintain power of their party in office for their own personal gain ( all politicians )they really do not care about you it is politics..there are reasons demon-crats were out of majority control for twelve years.. but people thought " well i will show george I will vote demon-crat .. Big mistake ..Bill is the reason jobs are overseas he is the one who modified the free trade agreement because of his stock in overseas deveopment , I am not saying Bush is perfect but while in office we have seen the housing market boom ,constuction was up until demoncrats took office everything is slowing down to get ready for increased taxes and big govt. Most politicians only tell you what they think you want to hear , once they are in office ,they have their own personal agenda for financial gain..Why do you think most politicians are lawyer's and investers ????

Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved by force. War, death, destruction, pain, misery, fear - it is not the answer. Albert Einstein knew a thing or two, with apologies to him for any misquoting he once said "the world we have created as a result of the thinking we have done thus far, creates problems that cannot be resolved at the same level of thinking at which they were created."
