I think the writing may well be on the wall already. England suffered to defeats, turning out sub standard performances against both Croatia and Spain. The problem needs to be nipped in the bud now before it's too late. I think(hope, even!),that if they put in another poor performance against Israel,McClaren's fate will be sealed, hopefully opening the way for Sam Allardyce. If not Big Sam then maybe Guus Hiddink or Felipe Scolari.

Mcclaren is just a latest incompetant in a long line of rot.
England's problems run deep. With the exception of Englands 5-1 win against Germany... I don't think we've managed more than 5 attacking passes going forward since 1996. Instead we ramraid it... try get a runner free and long ball it in to his path.

Not long in my opinion. If England have a disastrous European campaign then he'll get the boot - and rightfully so if you ask me.
There are many quality managers out there that will do more justice to the position of England manager -- however hard and however much pressure there is to perform.
Hope this helps

When the final whistle blows on their next euro qualifying game and the team loses. By the time the sports pages and headlines are written the next day we will all be taking bets on the next England manager

not very long i hope
he might even get sacked as early as next month if England lose to Israel
but u have to say it is a litttle unfair for him to get all the blame
the players should take at least some of the blame

Mc. Claren should have more chances by playing as many friendlies as he can but he will not be making it till the next World Cup
England will be making it to the EURO 2008

Hopefully he will get us to the euro's, because we can replace him with 'Big Phil' when he becomes available after England flop.
