It's a myth that sperm die as soon as they come into contact with the air, or that sperm ejaculated outside a woman's body will have no potency.

If it was the case then artificial insemination would be impossible, IVF treatment would be impossible, sperm count tests would be impossible.

True that they don't survive for as long, but they are still very capable of making a woman pregnant. Plenty of babies out there to prove it!

Even if a man ejaculates outside a woman, it is absolutely possible for sperm to find their way inside - either on her hands or his hands, or on a tissue she may wipe herself with, or even by just landing near the entrance to her vagina and working their way inside via vaginal fluids - there are a number of way this could be entirely possible.

Basically, any type of intimate sexual contact could potentially result in pregnancy if the woman is fertile and sperm are ejaculated. Ths is why the withdrawal method is so unreliable - pulling out and coming on her stomach for example.

Please, use contraceptives such as condoms - they're not 100% foolproof but they're better than nothing and will help protect both partners from disease.
