I bought D&B's "it" bag when it first came out around 2004, but stopped using it after about a year and put it in storage (a bamboo trunk in my room). Then last year I started noticing that it didn't look quite as "white" as when I bought it, but thought it was just me and/or the lighting at the time. NOPE. Now it is this ugly a** yellow PEE color. The same color that paper changes when exposed to air over many years. WTF? It's only been THREE years. I am so ticked off I spent over $200 on a cheap a** purse. I would've been better buying a frickin' knockoff!!!! PLUS the leather handles and trim are all discolored. Supposedly it's supposed to darken and look better with age. NOT. It's all discolored-some areas are darker than others. It just looks TERRIBLE.

HAS ANYONE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH D&B? For their price I would expect much better. I'm sticking to Coach from now on.

hey there, i own like a bunch of designer bags and store them in a dust bag. i bought a "it" white bag and wallent and used it for 1 month out of the year, and like you i put it away and within 8 months of buying it, it started too discolor, along with the wallet and suit case, i also have it in pink and the pink looks fine, so i called dooneybourke 1-800-347-5000
and told them they told me to clean it with ivory soap, so i said WTF? i'm not gonna clean a bag that's manufactered discolored, and i live in a smoke free home with no pets or kids, i even stored it with my white coach bag and its fine....get my point COMPLAIN!!!!!
and make them replace it!!! but tell them you do not like the "it" bags beacuse it sucks!! they should give you full credit for it.

but my advice just stay away from the "it" bag it's somthing about the material that stains and discolors trust me
goodluck=]

Ask D & B (or) ask a good Cobbler (a cobbler is a person that fixes/repairs shoes) they deal in leather and they KNOW leather - they even know how to DYE leather. You'll get the answer you are looking for - so go straight to a source that will even give you *storage* adivice.
