maybe you should put him down for naps during the day! and put him down to sleep alittle bit later like maybe 8 or 9! and start him on a schedule

At 5 mos he only has a tiny tummy and probably can't get enough during the day to keep him going all night. Try to get him to eat something - a little baby rice perhaps - before bed time and it might last him a bit longer. In a couple of months - I know that seems like forever right now - he'll be eating more and will sleep through for 12 hours a night.
