G'day,

1. Both universities have the same and equal reputation in regards to the quality of the teaching material, and both of them are public universities. The universities in Australia are required to have a good quality courses before able to offer it to overseas students.
2. As no. 1, both universities graduates have the same chance of getting a job. What most important thing that the employers looking at is your results on the university transcript. That, combined with a good English communication skill (especially in your area of employment) are crucial in securing a spot in the interview.
3. In regards to living expenses, Adelaide is cheaper compare to Canberra, although not much difference. I include some information about cost of living taken from both uni websites.
4. The only difference that you may want to compare is the school fee and cost of living I suppose. However, you may want to check the universities on the other 'cheaper' states as well eg. Western Australia or Tasmania. Also check the course guide properly, since eventhough the name of the courses are the same, different universities may have different structures or contents that one may be more suitable for you than the other (such as possibilities to combine your Spanish subjects as part of your degree study).

My suggestion is: if there are any big Australian Education exhibitions in Taiwan, visit them and speak with the representative from each uni so you get the feeling of the uni itself. It may be a good idea to ask them as well if they know of any Taiwanese graduates that you can speak to. If you have some time & a little extra money, come and visit the cities so you can have a feeling as well whether or not you are going to like living there for the next 3 or 4 years during your study.

I am enclosing the website of IDP Education Australia in Taiwan and you may be able to find out when will they have an exhibition in Taiwan.

I have visited both cities for traveling and prefer Adelaide than Canberra, but deep down... I reckon Melbourne is still the best city in Australia :)

Hope this helps. Good luck for your study and welcome to Australia. E-mail me if you still want more info.

Both Melbourne and Sydney are fantastic cities but there is a fierce rivalry between them so you will get strong views on which city is best. If you are considering these two, i would suggest you consider which suits your lifestyle and personality best because they are very different. I went to Melbourne University and had a great time. i would highly recommend staying at one of the residential colleges.
