I've been both and I do say both have their pros and cons but freelance gave me the ability to be free acquire more skills faster. What do you think?

Personally one of the biggest factors would be financial position. Are you able to accept freelance opportunities as they come & ride out any slow periods financially?

Are you good & disciplined at marketing yourself to help keep those slow times to a minimum, or primarily when you choose to schedule some down time.

Working at your own pace w no noss other than your clients is exciting & rewarding as a career. Good Luck !
