Yes it is possible, but it is VERY rare. Most people say semen dies as soon as air hits it, but recently I read that that isn't true. It really depends on where the semen landed and what position you guys were in. I mean if it landed on her thigh and she was sitting up....... it's not going to travel up her leg and impregnate her :)

YES, absolutely possible.
Even if a man ejaculates outside a woman, it is absolutely possible for sperm to find their way inside - either on her hands or his hands, or on a tissue she may wipe herself with, or even by just landing near the entrance to her vagina and working their way inside via vaginal fluids - there are a number of way this could be entirely possible.
Basically, any type of intimate sexual contact could potentially result in pregnancy if the woman is fertile and sperm are ejaculated. Ths is why the withdrawal method is so unreliable - pulling out and coming on her stomach for example.
Please, use contraceptives such as condoms - they're not 100% foolproof but they're better than nothing and will help protect both partners from disease as well.
