These days the umpiring is terrible...caught behinds especially very poor decisions that affect outcomes of matches. WHat happens if a very poor out is given, can the same umpire after coming to a realization give the batsmen not out after already giving him out...or can another umpire or match referee step in and overturn the poor decision?

The umpires on the ground can overule themselves and recall a batsman if they realise they have made a wrong call. There have been a couple of instances of this - the most recent being Sachin Tendulkar being recalled by umpire Mark Benson in a match against Australia in Malaysia.

Once the umpire has recalled the batsman, they make a signal to the scorers. They cross their arms across their chest, which tells the scorers to ignroe or "undo" their last signal.

No, Umpires decision cannot be overturned unless its concerened by them to third umpire. We are human and we do make mistakes which is part and parcels of life.If the decisions can be overturned it will be insult for umpires and have lots of issues which ICC is not interested in getting up now. There was speculations of 3 challenges for umpires decisions which was immediately overturned by ICC. if i m not mistaken the decisions made by umpires soo far is 992 to 96% on target and are true what more we need.

An umpire can reverse his own decision and call back the batsman if he is convinced that the decision given by him was wrong. Few such instances have taken place in the past

First of all, you must stand up to them. Don't take 'no' for an answer. You must kick sand all over their feet and scream obseneties. Haven't you watched real baseball? Everyone knows that's what you must do.

Then, when they overturn their decision, you must thank them politely.
