Computer is a tutor in itself. There are some Tutorial CDs like Comdac which teaches Computer basics & the use of operating system, Genral purpose packages & internet etc.

However it is advisible to gain basic knowledge with help of people who are conversant with computer operations & start using computers your self using help menu available on line. More you use the computer more conversant you will be.

You should have a Computer to use, willingness to learn & adequate time to involve with the Computers.

I'd visit popular franchise chain bookstores and search in the "Reference" area for instructive books on using pesonal computers and the Internet.

I highly recommend the "for Dummies" book series on computer use, Internet use. After you've mastered those books, if you want to explore computer programming, there's "for Dummies" books on those subjects as well.

The "for Dummies" books, on any given subject, are highly entertaining and equally educational/informative.
