welcome to parenthood...
its all relative.. what liberties and what abuse?
if you are someone who restricts your wife/husbands ability to hang with friends etc and then you say "do what you want" and they are going out every friday and sat night with the guys/gals... well.. what did you expect? they have been wanting to do this for a while so they are going to take advantage of the situation.
the question is.. is the time you are with them better because of this new "flexibility"
the next question is, is your spouse considerate of your needs regarding when you need him/her etc...
liberty is a broad term, and "misusing" it is as well..
i think the real thing here is, do you feel like your feelings are being dismissed in your spouses use of these liberties....
and if so... talk to your spouse about how you feel.. if they don't care how you feel, then you have some things to work out.
