Its a keyboard with a full American key layout. "qwerty" are the first letters on the upper row below the numbers.
Most PDAs only have a virtual touchscreen keyboard. Or a phone like keyboard with several letters on the number pad arranged alphabetically.

QWERTY is nothing but the first six letters of the keyboad. On a PDA it means that you the entire keyboard unlike the regular phone which has three to four letters on one button.
