I have been missing my period for 3 months now.Last period was in Nov. of 06. I took a pregnancy test last month and it was negative. I took one this week and it was also negative. I am irregular so i have gone without my period for atleast a month but not 3. Is this something serious?

Im 20 years old. Im not using any type of medication nor taking any sort of pills. For the moment i havent been exercising nor anything. I have stayed at home with my 10 month old daughter. Its too cold to be taking her for walks and i dont drive. My husband is too busy with college and football to take us out. I dont know anyone in Oklahoma. We just moved here a few months ago. Ive been under a lot of stress because the only friend i have that can talk back to me is this computer. Lately i have also been real grumpy. Could it be because of no periods?

you said the magic word..stress!!! stress can make you irregular but you sounds like your having some pms symptoms as well which can happen even if your not menstrating.make an appt. w/ a doctor if you don't feel pregnant your prob'ly not just stress.when baby sleeps drink some hot tea sometimes it is soothing and might help get things moving.

hmm...that happens to me, but I'm not sexually active, it's just how my body functions. It would help if we knew how old you are, the last time you had sex before you stopped your period, and other symptoms. I'd say menopause, but that can show up as positive on pregnancy tests sometimes. Have you been losing alot of weight? Mine skips frequently because I'm pretty petite, and active (ie, sports, running, skating, etc.),
Like over summer, I had gained enough weight that my period was more regular, and then when I lost the weight, my period was over a month late, and gave me a scare. I was worried the rapid weight loss had compromised my reproductive system, and nearly freaked about the idea of not being able to have kids one day. But then I finally got it, and the scare was gone.
On the bad side, this could mean you have cysts. That's what happened to my mom. I think you should call you OBGYN about this. If he/she thinks it sounds bad, he/she can call you in for an exam.
Best of luck, I hope it's not the latter

If you are taking the birth control pill, then it is way too strong for you. This could lead to serious problems such as painful benign tumors in the breast that can become malignant. If you are taking this medication, then you have to talk to the doctor immediately or see another doctor. Or stop using them all together and have your partener or husband use condoms. I know, they suck, but it is the healthiest way to go. Still get yourself checked out.

I would make an appointment with a gynecologist and get a check-up ASAP. Could be hormones or cysts. Better safe than sorry. As for pregnancy some women can only tell by a blood test.
