Winter. Due to the wind chills around and the sub zero temperatures. You can get a good case of frostbite just walking to the bus stop if you aren't careful. I may get hot in the summer, but I can carry water with me and my body adjusts to the heat better than the cold.

It depends on where you live. In some regions, you have lethal summer storms. In most of those regions, you don't get severe cold. If you are caught in a blizzard, you could freeze to death.
I would say that winter is probably traditionally more dangerous-- as in 100 years or more ago-- food was less during this time and if you don't have warm clothing you could die from the cold. Whereas many tropical storms last just a day or two, winter can be cold for months with temperatures reaching -30 F or -35 C and colder. At -60 F or -51 C exposed flesh freezes in 30 seconds. Just imagine if you don't have a warm house or car at that temperature.
One thing everyone needs to consider when answering this question is the pure danger factor. Almost everyone is assuming that you can take refuge in a house or car. Don't assume you are protected by a house or car or clothes for that matter. You have a better chance of surviving in 100 F heat than -30 F if you are exposed to the elements for an extended period of time.

The summer is more dangerous.
When it comes to places all over the world, we all experience a summer season. Generally speaking, all countries experience warmth in the summer, if not scorching hot temperatures. These hot temperatures, especially in areas that lack humidity (which makes us sweat to stay cool) and have dry heat instead, can prove fatal because our bodies can not regulate the heat and can cause dehydration and death. It would take me all day to explain each and every variable when it comes to the summer, so let's move on to winter...
When it comes to winter, we all naturally think of sledding, snowmen, snowball fights, etc. However, depending on where you live, in the dead of winter, your area could still be experiencing warm temperatures; not as hot as the summer, but still warm temperatures in the mid to high 70's (25°C). For example, last winter, I lived in Georgia and while the rest of the country was experiencing cold weather, I was enjoying 80° weather.
While it is true that both seasons can prove fatal and can bring on many obstacles, the overall rate of danger will be far more likely in the summer season as opposed to winter.

Well summer has a lot of drunk drivers, but where I live so does winter. I'd say winter cause in my town the drivers are bad enough in clear weather and judge sober. Winter comes, ice covers the roads and a few shots are had, it's a dangerous place to be believe you me.

I say both dangerous let start with summer. On summer you could die or get dehydrated from too much heat by not drinking enough water and when it get very hot you can t to too much activities like playing sports. The winter you have to dress very warm when the temperature is in the 20s or less in winter your feet, hands and ears will hurt you could die from too much exposure of the cold if you not dress very warm. In Winter you can t do too much activity when snow falls and it will be too cold to do activities.

I think it depends on where you live. In Alaska, winter, for obvious reasons. In Arizona, summer, again, for obvious reasons. Drownings occur in both summer and winter pretty much anywhere there is a body of water. I guess you could go into great depth about freezing temps. and the probability of them as opposed to dangerously high temps. and how they occur. Example... someone could die from high temp. in the winter from a fire.
Comes down to ..... I don't have an opinion, they are equally dangerous to me. Good question! Made me think.
Take care!

Aircraft efficiency tends to be better in the iciness so long as you keep out of the icing. I opt for the iciness over the summer. A sizzling day in Albuquerque taking off closer to the east does now not offer you a lot margin for error should you lose an engine. Sandia top is awfully high and close. You can be leaving luggage and passengers at the back of if you wish to get anywhere near minimal efficiency in your single engine profile. Additionally summer is the time when you can get thunderstorms, hail, windshear, and all forms of nasty weather. I'm going to take wintry weather any time.

I suppose they are both equally dangerous. Wintery conditions cause a lot of bad traffic accidents and the Summer heat can dehydrate people and give them sunstroke. I prefer burning over freezing.
