Just think that these people will all have their turn after you.
Practice your speech in the mirror tonight & try to remember your speech off by heart
The more you are comfortable with what you will say, the easier you will speak without having to refer to your cards & sound more genuine.
Goodluck. Hope YOU WIN

I used to be so nervous about speaking in front of a large crowd. Even after taking Public Speaking, I think it got worse. But what I discovered was that in order to get over nervousness was to get some rest and eat a good breakfast. If you want to work the crowd, pick an object in the back of the room and focus on it. It looks as if you're looking people right in the eye and they won't know the difference. You'll get comfortable the more you start doing speechs and before you realize you will be a pro.

1) Go to SLEEP now.
2) Eat something in the morning.
3) When giving the speech look over the heads of the audience to the back of the room.
4) While giving the speech, in your mind, pretend you are giving the speech only to yourself at home.

Hi, First You need to understand that if you decide to run for a class office or any other office then you need to look at the task logically and realize that this is something you have to do and do it to the best of your ability. Understand and accept that you will be nervous but that is just going to have to be that way, it's going to happen. You have a Job to do. Go ahead and be nervous but get the job done and do it well. Try looking to the back of the room.

Don't look AT the people, but stare at the back...where there's no one. That way, you won't see the people and feel less nervous, and at the same time, everyone will think you're looking at them. It's true, even if you look at the back of the room while everyone is seated before you, everyone will think that you're looking at them. Strange eh? But that's what I learned from this lady who was a speech...making....person...thing-ma-bob

It is very nerve-wracking to have to speak in public and sometimes it tops death as a fear. Prepare as well as you can and try to remain confident (set your mind on your successes and remind yourself of how able you are). When up there and finding yourself nervous - picture your audience in their underwear (last resort). Good luck.
