The cost all depends on if you do it or hire it out, not every home is equipped for 220v first of all see how much amp service you have in your home and if enough, then it could be as easy as installing a 220 breaker and of course the outlet, and you need to make sure the wiring can handle 220. It is not that big of a job just call a few electricians in your area and get a few estimates, if you are not good at electrical work then don't attempt this on your own. if you do make sure you have the power company shut the power off because there can still be live currents in the wires, just ask my husband when the screwdriver went flying across the room. to the first person that answered you, not all washers dryers and stoves are 220v look at the plugs they are 110v a 220v plug is much larger and the prongs are side ways. the ony way you would get one of these appliances 22o would be if you bought industrial equipment.

In the US the houses have fuse boxes or circuit breaker panels rated at a certain level. ie: 200 amp panel. If the panel has not been maxed out with fuses or breakers then a electrican can simple run a 220 wire to the outlet you need. Cost depends on the distance and if any drilling is needed, etc.

If the panel can not support any more circuits then the electrican will need to up the breaker panel to the next higher rating. this will cost more depending if the old box needs to be ripped out or a secondary box can be added.
