There really aren't different kinds of lawyers, but many do specialize in cases of a certain type. The most common are
Injury Lawyers (they sue for people who have been injured)
Tax Attorneys (They help people with tax issues)
Real Estate Lawyers (they help with buying and selling real estate)
Criminal Defense lawyers (defend criminals from prosecution)
Divorce Lawyer (handles divorces)
Basically if there is something you want to specialize in you just need to be a lwayer and then focus on becoming very familiar with the laws governing the area you want to specialize in.

Several. In case I don't mention all of them, please check your local area phone directory under Attorneys-there may be a few I can't think of. Lawyers: Divorce, Injury, one for helping people get on disability (SSI) that qualify. Property(?), Criminal, Defense, Family Law, Workmen's Comp, etc. You can look into how to be a commissioner (like a judge for civil laws etc.) in a courtroom. Take care.
