I was raped before I ever had my period. I was very sore for a while and worried that I might be pregnant. It wasn't a really violent rape - I knew the (32 yr old) bastard - but it was sick of him and very hard on me physically and emotionally.

I can't say for certain, but that may be why when I was an adult and ready to get pregnant, I had a lot of trouble conceiving. Prepubescent girls really aren't physically equipped for intercourse.

Well, just because a person hasn't started her periods, it doesn't mean that she can't have (putting aside the saving oneself until marriage thing and the age thing) but if a person is starting to consider sex, then there is a chance that this would be at around the some time that periods would begin, making pregnancy a very real possibility...if protection isn't used, the very first egg ever released could get fertilised and wow, she'd be a mommy before ever having a period.

So, to answer the question, not a lot WOULD happen, other than that girl obviously being in too big a hurry to grow up, but there's a great deal that COULD happen like in the situation above...and it's not fictitious, I know someone who did get pregnant with having sex before her periods began, and unfortunately, she lost the baby...her first ever bleeding was actually a miscarriage.

As a matter of fact, you can get pregnant if you've never had a period. As long as the female is old enough to produce viable eggs, she is old enough to get pregnant. Some athletes, for example, do not menstruate, but they still sometimes end up getting pregnant. Also, there is also the possibility of contracting a sexually transmitted disease anytime there is an exchange of bodily fluids. Condoms can help prevent pregnancy and STDs, but they do not work 100% of the time..

You are old enough to have sex when you know what the risks are, are wise enough to use protection and know how to use it correctly, know what the symptoms of STDs are and how to identify them, can pick a responsible partner, and can answer these 'what-if' questions for yourself. If you don't know what can happen the first time you have sex, then you are not ready to be having sex. It would be best to research this information for yourself rather than trusting what people say, as there are many misconceptions about virginity, sex, and the period. There are many websites online that can give you credible information----this isn't one of them. If you have any other questions, please seek out more reliable sources or ask your doctor, a nurse, or someone else who knows how the body works.

Whether or not you've starting having periods doesn't have a thing to do with having intercourse, whether you're ten, sixteen or 26. Not sure what you know about intercourse in the first place, so I'm not even going to go there.

The danger is that girls think they can't get pregnant if they haven't had a period yet, and that isn't true. Your period starts AFTER an egg has been released from your ovaries. If it doesn't get fertilized and attach itself to the wall of your uterus, THEN you have a period to expel the unused and unneeded lining of the uterus.

Nothing different happens. Sex is the same... even if you haven't had your period yet you CAN get pregnant if you have sex right before you're going to start for the first time. Having your period is not a prerequisite for having sex... otherwise menopausal women and women without uteruses would be very, very sad!

It's the same as if you did already have a period. You could still get pregnant and you could still bleed if your hymen is intact. I read in a magazine once that having your period tends to signal to your hormones that you are ready to be sexual. So even if someone hasn't had a visible period, they could have still already started ovulating. Make sense?

"could u even have sex if you didn't have ur period" DUH what do you htink child molestaion is about? One can have sex and not be physically mature to do so...having a period doesn't determine whether a person is able to have sex or not. If you have sex and you haven't reached puberty yet (no periods) then not much will happen unless your body is just beginning to develop although no periods yet...there might be a chance of pregnancy. You CAN at any age contract STDS HIV and HPV though if you have intercourse whether you have your period or not. In the daycare I worked at we had a little girl who's father had giving her syphallis at the age of 4...

Nothing will happen. In countries where marriages are allowed with men marrying very young girls, some of them have never had a period either.

Nothing would "happen" and yes you could have sex. But yeah, if you haven't even gotten your period yet you really shouldn't be having sex. Just the fact that you don't even know if you physically could have sex w/out having gotten your period should tell you that you don't have enough info. on the subject to even be attempting it.

Whatever you do in bed is exactly what happens. If she hasn't had a period, there's still a chance she could be ovulating and could get pregnant. There's also the risk of STD's always.
