Hello anne s, The words withhold and withheld seem to be the only words with two h's together. The word hitchhike is not technically two h's together as it should be spelled: hitch-hike.

The people who answered wit words like Beachhead, bathouse, withheld etc. have all spelt them wrong. There is only one Aitch in these words.
