Can we have babies in Sims 2 Pets?

I recently got my Sims 2 Pets for PS2 and just wondering if we can have babies in this version. I know in Sims 2 we can't not sure with this one though.

Yes you can and so can the pets...cat to cat and dog to dog not cat to dog

no but the pets can i've tried but the puppys/kittiens are cute!
