Gujarat is a state in the Republic of India. It borders Pakistan, and the states of Rajasthan to the north-east, Madhya Pradesh to the east, Maharashtra and the Union territories of Diu, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli to the south. The international border with Pakistan is to the north-west.

I think you mean from where the state derived its name.If that's the question then it got its name from the Gujjarātta ,meaning Gujar nation. Gujar is a pastoralist community of india.
