In the past year, I have had a razr and a slvr....and I'm fed up with Moto phones! I have had unbelievable problems with both....I text 24/7 and don't really even care about the internet...the only reason I want a phone is for texting, talking, calendar stuff, etc....and I like cool looking phones. I really want a blackberry but it seems like they are so internet-based...I have Cingular and the Blackberry 7100G is the best phone that I can afford to get~ and I do NOT want LG or Motorola....is this a good idea blackberry users?

I have no experience with the Blackberry brand, but I definitely think they're aimed more at business users.

I've had a Samsung phones for the past three years and have been extremely satisfied with them. I text alot, and they have T9 technology which makes texting even easier. They also have all sorts of nifty features like cameras, voice recording, calendars, calculators, etc.

I handle all of the I.T. for our corporation, we have about 800 Blackberry's. For years I used Moto phones etc.. and always had issues with them.
I am a hardcore txt'r as well. If you want a awesome phone, that is super fast to txt on then go with something from Cingular like the 8700 Blackberry.
Let me tell you once you use the BlackBerry for about 2-3 days you will never ever use a regular cell phone again. Trust me on this.
People with regular cell phones typically have no clue how awesome a Blackberry is.
I wouldnt recommend the Pearl because those BlackBerry's have the funky keyboards and use something called "SureType".
Im very familiar with it but it takes a while to get used to, like I said I would suggest the 8700 from Cingular, but the best of the best is the 8703e from Verizon.

Good luck!
